Amendolara Summer 2026: A July Full of Culture, Music, Sports, and Local Traditions
Summer in Amendolara is set to come alive with an exciting calendar of events throughout July. “Amendolara Summer 2026”, organized by the Municipal Administration together with local associations and community groups, offers something for everyone—from cultural events and live music to sports, family activities, and local traditions.
The program kicks off on July 9 with “Breaths and Percussion”, a unique concert featuring flute and marimba performed in the beautiful Cloister of the Convent of San Domenico by the G. Mahler Music Academy.
On July 10, the spotlight turns to Sport in the Square, now in its second edition, organized by the Amendolara Pro Loco. It’s a fun afternoon dedicated to sports, wellness, and community participation.
From July 13 to 26, children and families can enjoy Blu Splash 2026, the town’s summer camp program packed with activities and entertainment.
One of the highlights of the month is the Blue Flag Celebration on July 16, marking the prestigious environmental award that recognizes the excellent quality of Amendolara’s beaches and coastal waters.
On July 18, the Convent of San Domenico will host “Steps of Life: Oncology from Treatment to Artificial Intelligence”, a conference exploring the latest developments in cancer care, accompanied by a fashion show featuring oncology patients—a powerful event combining science, awareness, and inspiring personal stories.
The following day, July 19, the community will come together to celebrate the traditional Feast of Saint Francis of Paola, one of the town’s most cherished religious and cultural events.
This year’s program also places a strong focus on innovation and sustainable development.
On July 21, the event “Living the Future: Staying and Returning as Drivers of Development” will explore how communities can grow by encouraging people to remain in—or return to—their hometowns.
Then, on July 23, Professor Domenico Talia from the University of Calabria will lead a thought-provoking talk titled “Humans, Algorithms, and Artificial Intelligence,” examining how AI is shaping our lives and our future.
Literature lovers can join the presentation of “Torre Bianca” by Giuseppe Benevenuto on July 25.
On July 26, the seafront will host the 2nd Amendolara Motor Fest, organized by the K Racing Team, bringing together car and motorcycle enthusiasts for an exciting day by the sea.
The following day, July 27, children and young people can take part in workshops focused on emotional education and active citizenship, encouraging creativity, teamwork, and civic engagement.
The month concludes on July 30 with a lively performance by Gli Amici del Karafolk, who will fill Piazza Giovanni XXIII with folk music, local traditions, and plenty of summer atmosphere.
