A journey through flavors and traditions: the food and wine twinning in Civita.
On July 10, 2026, the picturesque setting of Piazza Municipio in Civita (CS) will transform into the beating heart of Calabrian culinary tradition. Starting at 6:00 PM, the municipalities of Cassano all’Ionio, Civita, and Mormanno will come together to launch a Food and Wine Twinning initiative—a special event designed to celebrate the union of taste, culture, and friendship.
This initiative was launched with the primary goal of showcasing the region’s culinary excellence and traditional products, offering a prime platform for local specialties. Visitors can immerse themselves in a unique sensory journey among the many food and wine stalls, featuring wine, bread, cheeses, and all the delicacies that make this land extraordinary. Live music will further enrich the experience, accompanying the evening and creating an atmosphere of celebration and conviviality.
The event is supported by major institutions such as the Calabria Region, ARSAC, and the “Calabria Straordinaria” brand, underscoring the project’s value in promoting the region’s identity. Participating in this twinning initiative means embarking on a journey to rediscover the shared roots of three communities that have joined forces to showcase their history and culinary traditions.
